This past Saturday I was invited along as this delightful couple came to put the finishing touches on their Gearys bridal registry.
Our bride Danielle, who is an LA local, met her fiancĂ© Gary (from New Jersey) through mutual friends at the W Hotel 3 years ago. They went on their first official date at Crustacean restaurant in Beverly Hills and the rest is history. This couple is pretty amazing! Not only are Gary and Danielle busy planning their wedding and working full time, they happen to be on a competitive sailboat racing team with Danielle’s dad and sister Lesley (maid of honor)! Their team is called the Blue Dogs and they race all over Southern California!
For their engagement proposal, Gary re-created their first date by taking Danielle out for a lovely dinner at Crustacean. He arranged for them to spend a romantic evening at the beautiful Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. When she opened up the door to the hotel suite, she was greeted by a trail of roses guiding her into a beautiful candle- lit bedroom where she found Gary down on one knee with a sparkly engagement ring in hand. *** She said yes!***
Their wedding ceremony will be held at the St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church in Encino this upcoming September and will be followed by a reception at Danielle’s parent’s house in Calabasas.
Now onto the registry!
Danielle and her mother had been in a few weeks earlier to do an initial perusal of the store and made some fine china selections. Their bridal registry specialist, Lorelei, had prepared a table with their initial pattern selection so Gary could see what the concept was upon his arrival.
Danielle and Gary selected a lovely, delicate leafy pattern by the French maker, Royal Limoges called Olivier Green. For their sterling silver flatware, they chose a classic, elegant pattern, French Provincial by Towle. To accompany their fine china selection they paired it with white hemstitch linens from Sferra.
They added Florentine Gold dinner plates, by Haviland, to their registry to have an alternative option for accenting their fine china while entertaining. The Florentine Gold pattern is decorated with a whimsical gold olive branch in the well of the plate, and will harmoniously tie into their Olivier Green Pattern.
We then moved along to the Juliska shop where Gary and Danielle selected several serving pieces in the Berry and Thread White pattern to go with their own casual, every day china.
They also fell in love with the Petite Singe Monkey collection and Gary insisted that the Monkey dessert plates be added to the registry!
Our Bride & Groom to be also added a sweet Vietri Crema baguette server to their registry.
We then ventured over to the G- Bar to select some classy barware for their newly- wed home. They selected the crystal Soho square decanter by Reed & Barton to go with their own barware selection.
Danielle showed Gary the elegant Art Deco silverplate handled tray by Ricci Argentieri that she had placed on the registry during her previous visit. He approved, and it was added!
Our Bride & Groom also added two brilliant, hammered stainless steel salad serving bowls by Mary Jurek to the registry. Not only are these bowls shimmery and gorgeous, they are practical and functional. They do not stain nor tarnish and can be used for a plethora of serving or decorative functions.
They also selected a wooden cheese board from Michael Aram’s Lemonwood collection… upon which they envisioned serving hors d’oeuvres when they entertain guests in their newlywed home.
Some Reed & Barton silverplate hollowware serving pieces (ie. Paul Revere bowls & Queen Anne round tray) were also placed on their wedding registry for more formal entertaining purposes.
Lastly, we headed downstairs to our main floor to select a variety of giftware pieces, where they found a gorgeous crystal vase (Wanda) by William Yeoward.
In Waterford Crystal they found a Mondavi Pinot Noir 5 piece set, which is perfect for sharing a nice bottle of wine with friends. This set comes with a decanter and 4 wine glasses.
They loved the simple, modern elegance of the Regina crystal candlesticks by Orrefors.
Danielle absolutely adored the Corinth Rose bowl by Simon Pearce. This piece is new to their collection and I actually love it and have been eyeing it for my next purchase!
This was such a sweet shot of our couple selecting picture frames together!

Once again, Lorelei and I had an incredibly fun time spending the morning with this wonderful couple as we helped them create their wedding wish list and prepare for their future together!
A warm congratulations to Danielle & Gary from your Gearys family!
Xoxo,
